JOIE DE VIVRE INVITES TRAVELERS TO “GET A ROOM” AT 20 PERCENT OFF, ENJOY ACCEPTANCE, EQUALITY, AND MIMOSAS BEFORE NOON TO TOAST 40 YEARS OF PRIDE

San Francisco (May 26, 2010) – As San Francisco gets ready to celebrate the 40th (and fabulous, dahling) birthday of its San Francisco Pride celebration and parade June 26-27, Joie de Vivre is icing the cake for LGBT travelers who are headed to SF Pride with a 20 percent “Get a Room” discount based on availability at all of Joie de Vivre’s more than 30 hotels throughout the state. The discount is good year round and can be booked by entering the code PRIDE when booking a stay at a Joie de Vivre hotel.

In addition to the year-round “Get a Room” rate, several of Joie de Vivre’s 16 boutique hotels in San Francisco are boosting the SF Pride birthday joie by offering celebratory extras. For example, The Hotel Rex is giving all guests who book using the “Get a Room” rate code a chance to win a future stay in its literary luxe Gertrude Stein Suite, and the Galleria Park Hotel is hosting a Sunday morning mimosa hour for guests prior to the SF Pride Parade. Joie de Vivre also extends its experience-driven offerings for LGBT travelers by offering commitment celebrations and honeymoons.

In 2009, all Joie de Vivre hotels joined a select group of international hotels and attractions to achieve the TAG Approved® designation. TAG recognizes gay-friendly hotels that demonstrate a commitment to the LGBT community through employment policies, services, and resources directed to LGBT causes. The company is a longtime sponsor of SF Pride, San Jose Pride, the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival, AIDS Lifecycle, Frameline film festival, the Golden Gate Business Association, and Pride celebrations and causes throughout California.
